Description: “Somewhere Beyond the Rainbow" is a sleep-away camp designed specifically for LGBTQIA+ theatre lovers aged 12-17. This unique experience celebrates creativity, self-expression, and community in a supportive and inspiring environment.
Campers can choose between participating in a musical, creating a devised monologue show, or performing in an improv showcase. Optional early-morning theatre intensives offer opportunities to explore things like makeup artistry, stage combat, and dance, followed by daily rehearsals building toward their final productions.
Afternoons feature a mix of engaging queer-focused programming, including discussions, art projects, and social justice activities, as well as classic camp fun like guided hikes through scenic trails and a ropes course! Evenings bring the camp community together with bonfires, open mic nights, drag performances, and dance parties. Campers stay in cozy cabins, and all meals are included.
The week concludes with a special family day, where loved ones are invited to celebrate the campers' creativity and hard work by enjoying their performances. Join us this summer for a week filled with growth, connection, and celebration as we explore what lies beyond the rainbow.
